It is often believed that there is someone out there who is perfectly suited to help each individual. Although this isn’t always guaranteed, sometimes we have to endure difficult situations in order to leave years of abuse behind us.
In Colombia’s Los Nevados National Park, a dog named Kathy was unfortunately abandoned in the Frailejones Valley. Her owners tied her up between some shrubs, most likely to prevent her from returning home.
It seems like the outcome of such cases would be sad, but there’s a glimmer of hope with Daniel Leandro. He’s the one who took care of dogs that were exposed to freezing temperatures and heavy rainfall for three days.
Through tears and pain, I refused to give up. I lifted her in my arms and carried her for over two hours to reach my truck. It wasn’t easy, but I knew it was the right thing to do. When we arrived at the vet, they gave her medicine and administered a shot. She couldn’t move for ten whole days, and while she still can’t walk properly, her face lights up with joy once again.
Daniel shared several pictures that illustrate the route he had to follow to ensure Kathy’s safety. He also took this opportunity to convey a positive message about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
If you decide to own a small animal, make sure to love, care for, and protect it because they are among the most grateful creatures in the world. It’s important not to abandon them because they have feelings too.
In just a few minutes, we were able to achieve a completely different outcome. I want to express my gratitude to Daniel for making it possible for a puppy to recover from a near-death experience and have a new chance at a happy life. It’s important to carefully consider before getting a pet because they should never be abandoned or treated poorly.
