Animal Aid Unlimited was taken aback when they were informed about a dog in need of rescue. Upon arriving at the scene, they were shocked to see the poor animal running aimlessly on the road, visibly in pain. The cause of his distress was a wire tightly wrapped around his neck, cutting into his muscles.
The team in charge of rescue operations had to catch him with a net as they couldn’t take any chance of him escaping, as it would have resulted in his demise.
Once the rescue team brought him to Animal Aid, the veterinarians wasted no time in getting to work. They immediately removed the wire and started administering life-saving treatments such as antibiotics, wound dressing, IV fluids, and painkillers.
The veterinarian expressed his disbelief at the amount of suffering the animal had endured, estimating it to be several weeks based on the extensive damage caused by the wire around its neck.
It’s remarkable how he managed to push through the pain and search for sustenance despite his serious injury.
We were relieved that in the nick of time, we were able to save this sweet boy we named Sage. It was a great feeling to see him free from agony and given a second chance at life.
